President’s Message

At the Iron County Home Builders Association, we are very pleased to present to you our 2019 Festival of Homes.   Our annual show is offering again this year a nice variety of entries you’re sure to enjoy.

As a Festival chairman in 2018, the current president of the Association, and contributing electrical sub-contractor, I have first-hand knowledge of the endless hours of hard work invested into these entries by our association members.  The sponsoring builders, and their subcontractors, and assisting associate members, along with our Festival Committee, work countless hours and put their work on display for you enjoyment and consideration. I thank all of our members for their wonderful support and efforts.

This home show has developed regional support as visitors come here our region including communities throughout Utah, and Nevada, Arizona, even Colorado, Idaho, California, and other surrounding states.  Our local friends and neighbors also show great support by visiting our entries. They express to us that they love to visit the show. The Festival of Homes adds economic value to our community, bringing visitors who help the local economy.  Many people will visit the Festival are considering moving here, and the show gives them a taste of what it would be like to live here.

Our association members, and especially the builders who submit entries, with the support of our Festival sponsors, make this show possible.  The Home Builders Association expresses sincere thanks to our sponsors State Bank of Southern Utah, Coldwell Banker Advantage, Sunroc, Iron Springs Resort (Nichols Development), DeMille Turf Farm/Red Cedar Rock, and the Cedar City Brian Head Tourism Bureau.

We also couldn’t do it without the support of our media sponsors; Iron County Today, and Cherry Creek Radio.

Nearly 180 local business people are members of our local Home Builders Association, including builders, subcontractors, and business associates.  Our members want to serve the building needs of Iron County and the surrounding communities. As a trade association, we are also part of the HBA of Utah and the National Association of Home Builders, and we expect our members to practice high ethical standards, and exhibit fair and honest business practices.  We provide building code training to keep our members current with the building requirements. To offer you the best in products and services, our members consider and look for the best in trade technologies and practices. Please see the membership listing in the back of this magazine and contact our skilled, professional members to help you with your building, remodeling, and personal needs.
